Hi, I am Eyri! An artist, who unexpectedly discovered a love for cooking.
My journey
I’ll be honest, I used to think cooking was a waste of time and energy. I much preferred ordering takeout because I couldn’t really cook at that time. The most I could make was scrambled eggs, and even that didn’t taste good. But after being diagnosed with several chronic diseases in my young adulthood, I decided to give cooking a try to see if it could benefit me.
At first, it was incredibly challenging. I spent hours surfing the internet to find easy recipes and often ended up with results that were inedible. But the more I cooked, the more I found the process itself to be therapeutic. And I was always excited to try some new flavor I didn’t have before. I began to really enjoy cooking. The desire to try new flavors led to experimenting with various ingredients and my first recipes were created. And the best part? I started really feeling better!
While I still enjoy takeout, I’m glad that I now have the ability to prepare healthy and delicious meals when I need to. This blog is a collection of my recipes which hopefully inspire others to try something new and make them feel good as well. 🙂
My Art
Art has always been a huge part of my life. I always wanted to become a professional artist. I successfully studied at two art schools and earned a degree in Creative Arts. Unfortunately, medical issues affected my hands and limited my ability to pursue art full-time. I found joy in creating cute and cheerful art that I can make much more easily. My goal is to bring this joy to others through my creations.
